So the other day I had four wisdom teeth out, which wasn’t the most exciting experience but it had to be done, that got me wondering why are wisdom teeth called wisdom teeth. I honestly don’t think they provide much wisdom, so with my thought provoking idea I had to search the internet and it’s quite interesting what I found.
Wisdom teeth
are given their unique title because of the period in which they grow inside a person's mouth
. As a matter of fact, wisdom teeth don't appear in the mouth until a person turns 18 or 20 – the age which marks the arrival of formal adulthood and along with that, gives rise to an additional extent of wisdom and sagacity.I must admit being utterly bored has will taught me something and I honestly am glad they are out even though I can still only eat mush!
